The metal shop

A dedicated metal bay separated from the wood shop, so sparks, grinding dust, and welding fumes stay where they belong. Cut clean with the plasma cutter, weld steel and aluminium on the TIG rig, turn precision parts on the lathe, and finish on the bench grinder.

Everyone starts with a safety induction — proper PPE, fire safety, and machine-specific training — before the bay is yours. Fabricate a bracket, restore an old frame, or build something from scratch. Staff are on hand when you're stuck, and make-and-take class nights are a relaxed way to pick up welding or fabrication basics.
